I think this week is eight weeks since I placed my order (how could I lose count!?!?! ), I hope you love your new kilt when it comes!

Must be a US phrase as I never encountered it before this group.
It was first, as far as I know, used by heroin addicts in the late 60's/early 70's to mean the overwhelming desire for another dose, as the previous dose had left the system, to stave off the ill effects of withdrawal. In this view, the addiction is taken for granted, unexplained, acted out and celebrated in a pathetic attempt at happiness, rather than confronted and overcome. Of course, rather than causing happiness, the result is stronger addiction, and further identification of the self with with addiction. Here, it is applied to consumerism, or the addiction to purchasing products in a futile attempt to attain contentment thereby.

I've been trying really hard not to pester Matt. BUT, the shakes got the best of me and I emailed him. He's received the cloth from Lochcarron! It made me feel better to know that the cloth was secured and ready to rock when he is. But, I think it really set my jonesing into hyper drive!

Sorry about that! I just figured the original post would be a good place to share the update. Matt also told me that mid-January is still a good estimate of completion time. I can't freaking WAAAAAAAAAAAIT!!!

You lucky dog
I have at least 4 I want him to make for me. I want to get about 14 more everyday wear kilts with all accessories first. If I can keep up the work load that will take about a year.
OK I admit it. I'm addicted.

Ah, waiting is 99% of the fun. My new kilt should be here in the next day or two from Matt. I ordered in the beginning of August, the wait is no big deal!

Does it get better after the first kilt? I've been looking longingly at some of my accessories for two months and have no kilt to wear them with!
