Howdy from South Georgia...
Greetings and Salutations to all yall in the kilted community. I've finally gotten around to getting up on X-marks site, though I've been wearing the kilt for roughly on ten years now. I'd have to say I'm a pretty staunch traditionalist when it comes to kilt styles etc. But I do consider myself an American-Scotsman in a modern context, so I dont do the period dress and such. Currently trying to get back in the habit of wearing my kilt at least once a week, but the South Georgia humidity has been hard agin' me (thank God for the Flip-flop!).
A little about me: been a Walker all my life, but am also a MacGregor by association, and thus my tartan... raised up around Albany (AWWW-binny), Georgia. Also have lots of roots in Eastern Kentucke (McIntosh's of Estill Co), so I I'm proud to be half Hillbilly as well as a good Scotchman. Now residing in Valdosta where I'm a freelance artist. Always been an artist by nature and now also by trade with two businesses: Totem Design LLC and Crann-Tara Artworks & Design. (I'm afraid there's not much to my website just now, but I'm working on it. Hopefully though I will have some of my products up soon for yall to see...) I've been fortunate to have made two extensive trips to Scotland, and more recently to have been accepted as a Fellow in the Society of Antiquaries Scotland. My other interests include the Gaelic language, history, Celtic & Southern roots music (bagpipes & banjos), and of course Celtic art.
Welp... lookin' forward to getting involved here on the X. Yall holler at me!

Yes, sir. I did indeed create my own Avatar. Mr Cajunscot put it in my mind that I might put it up on my cafe-press sight as a t-shirt design. I'll be sure to make a post if'n I get to it...
And thanks for the compliments. Much obliged.
