Brass Roller Buckles

I've heard a few guys interested in Brass roller buckles for belts. I've been working hard to try and find a supplier for thiese items and may have found a way to get them. Here is a picture of some sample he sent me and I wanted to get your opinions on them.

He can provide several sizes but only two are represented here, 2-1/4" (top right) and 3" (bottom right). The nickle buckle on the left is 2-1/2".

I think the style is OK for the 2 1/4 inch, but for a 3 inch belt I would like to see some thing with a little more metal mass. I would be concerned about the single tang distorting the belt over time. Perhaps a double tang would work?

I agree Tom. These are available in 1 and 2 prong. That's a good point though. Anything over 2-1/2 should probably be 2 prong. Thanks for the input.
