Thanks. Valdosta has really been hoppin' lately- gone from 3 downtowne Restaraunts to 13 in just a couple years!
I also thought I'd mention that my Walker kin are from West Texas via Alabama and Georgia (when you go back far enough), and Grandpa, Lindsey Burnis Walker (how's that for a good Scotch name?), went to Texas Tech.

Howdy-hi! My little brother just moved out to Colorado, as a matter of fact. He works for Whole Foods (or some such granola grocery place) and is going to school (Chinese acupuncture- what do you expect with a philosophy undergrad) in Boulder, I believe it is...
Won't you have to have the Walker tartan custom woven? I've never seen it for sale. And which lot of Walker tartan are you looking at? I am under the impression there are several designs from different sources etc...

As a matter of fact there is a fairly significant repository of Scottish genealogical records at the Odom Library in Moultrie. Ms Beth Gay, who is our US (sic) rep for Scots Heritage Magazine [which if any of yall dont get- I HIGHLY recommend!] used to run the Genealogic library there and is very active in many of the Scottish organisations and Societies on this side of the country. If you get the chance to meet her or hear her speak, I highly recommend it. The library used to put on a pretty well received festival every year, but I think they've run out of folks interested in organising and running the thang. Moultrie is only about 45 minutes from here...

Welcome from east of Atlanta!!!
I've passed through Valdosta numerous times headed to Florida and nearly went to the Brookwood High School vs. Valdosta High School football game except I had to go to Texas to see my sister at college.
We Georgians really do seem to just be popping up all of the sudden!
