Coming back from Cyprus no such ruling!
Hmm, maybe. I usually ask politely, rather than trying to sneak things past. Anyway, I had a back-up plan of simply buckling on my kilt if needed...

I'm travelling back to Scotland in December and have been hoping to get my kilt carrier on as hand luggage.

Flying in might not be a problem as many countries have not introduced such a rule, flying out again could be the challenge.

I'm flying to Edinburgh from Cardiff a week on Friday and will be wearing a kilt anyway with another in the carrier in the hold luggage.
