What type of pets do Kilties like?

I was just sitting here thinking about Cats, Dogs, Chipmunks, Squirrels, Rats and various other animals that have been discussed in passing. It always makes me smile when I see a critter picture. So if you would please introduce us to your pets. O'Neille

We have 2 cats... one is a purebred siamese and a smart little fellow. He's the only cat that I know that will play fetch with paper balls - like a dog does with a stick.

2 Whippets. I love watching them run. They have only 2 gears: running and sleeping.

I too enjoy the critter picture posts. So, I'll post away. These have all been posted before, but not together:

First, these are our two Guinea Pigs. The yellow one is "Lemonade" and the brown one is "Booger Bear." We bought Lemonade at the local pet shop, and about two months later, she gave us Booger Bear. Lemonade isn't any where near as gold as she looks in the first one. My Treo (long laid to rest) used to do funky stuff with colours.

Next. This is Winston Jude Henderson (according to his pedigree papers.) But, we have a variety of other goofy names we call him. He usually only get's called Winston when he's devouring one of Nikki's high heels. Fortunately he hasn't developed a taste for worsted wool. Though, I keep that far from his wee mouth.

    Pet Deaprtment:

    (In order of seniority...not size.)

Nikki: dog, Tibetan Terrier. An adoption from Animal Welfare...Medium size, white and shaggy (and headed for a SERIOUS buzz-cut any day now...Tibetans fur matts like crazy). Bred as temple guardians and this one performs the chore perfectly.

Casseopia: cat, large, white and long-haired. This one was a leftover at my local pet shop; her brother, also white, got sold but Cassie had a gestational hernia and was headed for the animal shelter when I stopped in for some rat food. Since the store owner knew me as a good pet owner, he offered her to me for free if I got the hernia fixed...sold! Her brother went for $130...steep for a cat in these parts...so when my wife got home and this little white blur of fur zipped past her and she said, "What was that?" I replied, "Honey, I saved us $130 today!". My vet did the hernia for and extra $10 while she was in there doing the spaying...such a bargain!

Chili Palmer: cat, one of those red striped marmalade models and actually very small for a cat. Some call him "the Joker"...I often call him "numpty moggy barstard!". He's everything good that a little boy cat could be: smart, curious, a total suck-up and funny...and since he got "fixed" at the earliest possible age, he will stay a little boy cat all his life. One of those that gets into everything and makes a mess but you just can't get mad because he's so damn cute.

Portia: dog, a Lemon Beagle...aka: the Golden Beagle, Braveheart or Lassie (the last two sarcastically). A (different) pet shop markdown..."...oh, you again...listen, if you actually BUY the dog today, I'll knock another $100 off the price"...because she was getting rather old to be knocking around in a pet shop...but this was love at first sight. I had been courting a reputable beagle breeder looking to buy a puppy but I found out that I was, like, 32nd on the waiting list. I know that they say not to buy them from pet shops but when I spotted her, the magic was there so I worked my wife over until she gave in and let me get her.

I did have some really fantastic rats as pets therefor several years...I can't recommend these little guys highly enough for smarts and sociability....but we decided to cool it on the ratties for a while.

So, as you can see, if I'm home alone, I'm never alone.

    Best

    AA

I've got an Australian Shepherd B&W, and a Tri-color Border Collie. I've also got a Calico cat, refuses cat food and only eats IAMs puppy food. She will only come in the house for ear scratchs and her delight is to attack me while walking in the dark from my shop. Scares the cr&P out of me every time. O'Neille

My Daughter would be mad if I forgot the fish and the fire bellied toads.
