Though this topic has come up before, here's a recent photo of my geriatric Welsh terrier, Quincy, with his breeder, who stopped by for a visit last week.

Great thread O'Neille!
Down from our high point of a few years ago. And Panache, we have something in common with our wives, my wife is not a vet, but only missed it due to us having to move before she finished her DVM at NC State, but she has been a vet tech for many years until we had our own 2 legged pets, errr, kids!
Anyway, at the height we had 3 dogs and 7 cats. A shepherd, rottweiler mix, doberman mix, and a terrier mix dog. Then the first cat we ever had together, a 3 legged blue cream, an orange tabby stray, 2 tortoise shell liter mates, a pure white, and a pure black cat. We only have the terrier mix and the last 4 cats left, but we were looking at the greyhounds for adoption recently...

I have a friend with a greyhound that is too cool. They have the softest hair you would ever feel on a short haired dog. If they would stay still long enough they'd make great dog pillows. O'Neille

It's wonderful that people adopt greyhounds past their prime so that they don't have to be put to sleep. The ones I have known have been incredibly well trained and well behaved, eerily so sometimes. A friend calls them Stepford hounds.
