hello to everyone from the easternshore of maryland

i have been lurking for awhile and figured i should introduce myself, i'm 33 and of scots-irish ancestry. scottish- Elliott and Macpherson, irish- Murphy and Welch[Walsh]. i plan on training over the winter so that i can participate in the highland games next year. the games are why i will be buying a kilt next spring. i have always wanted a kilt in the Elliott tartan but didn't think it was practical. the members here have changed my out look about wearing a kilt around the house, doing yard work as well as out around town. i have already learned a lot from this site and look forward to learning a lot more.
