I did in my own self-righteous way. Don't think they publish them, although I sent one.

While it may seem funny to be "regimental" I think it in poor taste to trivialize the kilt with trite and simplistic observational skills at this level. Sorry, the kilt is not the fashion item you deem it to be. Those men didn't attend to flash their "bits" for your amusement. The kilt has a culture, history and a people behind it. Men have fought, lived and died in them.

How appropriate would it be to inquire about what's under a lady's skirt at this function by a man? Sorry, it's not about being "Regimental" for the benefit of giddy fashion observer.

If you were covering recreational wear, like bikinis, it would be appropriate. Until such time a full brigade of bikini clad woman charge a hill with fixed bayonets, this too would cease to be funny.

Then again, what can I truly expect from a "fashion" blog anyway? Lina, you did a disservice by focusing on what's under the kilt, but not what is in the kilt and what it means to people. Now that you are sufficiently aware of the fact men do go regimental, I hope the coverage of the next event would be what the first should have been:

    Respectful.
