    Stingray

Any old timers out there remember Stingray, circa 1964?
Here's a shot of "phones" in his haggis induced dream in Highland Gear. I've no idea what the tartan is though.

That's interesting. Although I'm not familliar with Stingray, it apears to be a Supermarionation feature.

I do, however, remember "SuperCar".... a Sylvia & Gerry Anderson production in Supermarionation. If I remember correctly, the Andersons were also involved with the "Thunderbirds" and also "Space 1999". I don't remeber kilts being featured in these other shows though.

I am a huge Gerry Anderson fan, and I have Stingray on DVD. That scene was pretty funny.

If you like supermarionation, you gotta see "Team America: World Police", the first R-rated puppet movie, and an obvious tribute to "Thunderbirds", in a very twisted way.

Even the live action version of Thunderbird paid homage to the original. In one scene, you can notice that strings are attached to the human charactor.

I remember them all from "Four Feather Falls" onwards!

Stingray and Thunderbirds still get repeats from time to time in the UK.

Yeah, sure brings back memories. Stingray came after Super car and Fireball but before Thunderbirds. Here's a couple of other stills from that Scottish episode "Loch Ness Monster"

I don't recall the program. I did however, have a "Stingray" bicycle. It had a big knobby rear tire and a slightly smaller regular front wheel. Many west coast kids had them. The banana seat made it look totally cool and fast!
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

I'm not familiar with this one (well before MY time.) But, I am familiar with Jerry's reference to "Team America." If any of ya have as twisted a sense of humour as I (and Jerry, now that he's exposed himself ) It is a MUST see.

Oh, and as a reference point:

Team America was made by none other than Matt Stone and Trey Parker (Southpark.)
