You rock, dude. You are blowing (open) their minds. When I was in the Marine Corps they told us that we were representing the Corps 24/7. In that vein, I think you're representing the rabble with what you're doing----and you're doing it quite well.

Hi Alan,
The tragedy is that teachers like you are so rare In all my years at school only one teacher (of English) was of your ilk. Guess what the only subject was that I got top marks in?
The rest of the teachers were burnt out from dealing with the scummier ruffians and assumed we were all bad kids.....
You have such an understanding of kids and a love of the work that you should be teaching the teachers how to do it right.
AND making them wear kilts to boot
