Great idea. My son's 18 oz band kilt has conquered every hanger in the house...until now!

Thanks for the idea, this look like a great solution, I have wondered how two wooden skirt hangers back to back would work. It is difficult to find a hanger with enough bite in the clamps to hang a 16 oz kilt.

Kilts do hang much better when they are folded and take up less room in the closet, they will also fit nicely into a garment bag.

A classic example of Redneck Engineering.

And remember, if there's still duct tape left there's still work to be done.

I found an excellent source of hangers that are specifically designed for kilts and have 4 clips.

    £9.99 each http://www.edirectory.co.uk/pf/88888...er/pid/4259347

    or £24.99 for 3 http://www.caraselledirect.com/zcart...Remote&PID=288

    I bought nine!

My kilts have never hung so well - a worthwhile investment.

Cough, cough indeed......! I had one of those things - once.

The plastic neck on the hook broke where it hooked onto the hinged section.

    *poof* Scratch one pants hanger.

Why they would choose to use plastic right at the place of maximum stress and

    wear is beyond me.
