    More Site Updates...

Please be gentle... we've made SEVERAL updates to the site (lots of new products). The new site is up, but we're still working a few bugs out.

One thing you may notice... we now have a modest shipping charge for orders under $200 ($3 up to $50, $6 up to 100, and $9 up to $200). Over $200 is still free...

    Tell me what you think!

One more thing... Since we added shipping costs, we actually lowered the prices on certain items (t-shirts, standard belt buckles, etc)!

Did you discontinue the standard kilt pin? I loved that one!

Everything looks great. I don't see your new shirt with the answers to the question.

Yeah... we took the standard kilt pin off. We got 2 boxes (1 gold and one silver) for a SONG a couple years ago, but now they're out and we can't get them for the cheap price anymore.

The "What's under the Kilt" shirt is 3/4 the way down the MEN's shirt page on the right side. Here's a link tot he pic of the back of the shirt...

WOO HOO! It's DONE (except for a few more pics and some stag horn sgian dubhs)! The new site (more aptly, all the additions to the old site) is up and live!

Guys... I'd like to ask a favor. If you have 10 or 20 minutes to kill, please check out the site (www.usakilts.com for those of you who may not know)and double check that everything is working. If you see any broken pics, let me know. If you add a hat to your cart and it shows up as a shirt, LET ME KNOW! If you see glaring spelling errors or something, let me know. If you have any questions, let me know!

    Yardage?

It would be helpful to know roughly how many yards and pleats are in a casual kilt, and how many yards are in a semi-traditional. It would also be good to have some idea of the depths of the pleats in all of them.

Photos on kiltmakers' sites aren't usually as illustrative as one one like. This is understandable, since kiltmakers want to show their wares looking as good as they can, rather than more accurately. But often one really has no idea of what one is buying until one has bought it and unpacked it. After a few disappointing experiences, as well as having to go to the trouble and expense of returning the kilt by mail, and sometimes having problems getting a refund, one is reluctant to buy online again and instead waits until one can see in person what one is buying, if then.

The USA kilt site looks good. I too would be interested in the differences between the casual and the semi-traditional. It would be nice if there was a single picture of each one, or some way to see what the differences are beween them (especially amount of fabric). Does the Semi-tradition have the traditional rise and the casual is design to be worn lower? Can you get the higher rise but still opt for a velcro closure? These are things that came to mind when i was looking at PV choices.

    Cheers
