    What a marvelous gift!

Wherever you decide to display this wonderful painting, make sure you write it's story and keep it with the art for future generations of riverkilts.

That's a very special gift, RK.

Don't sell yourself short: "I'm having trouble accepting that..."

Humble efforts often yield profound good. You strike me as just the sort.

    Happy birthday!

    Deepest regards,
    Scott Gilmore

    Ron my friend,

I've known you for a little over three years now and having actually met and talked with you so I know you are a "jump in the hole" kinda guy.

    Let me explain.

On the TV show "The West Wing" Leo McGarry, Chief of Staff, who is fighting drug and alcohol addiction tells his friend Josh a story that goes like this.

A man falls into a hole. Hours of struggle and he can't get out and is calling for help when a Doctor walks by the opening of the hole.
"Hey Doc, I'm down in this hole can you help me out?" The man yells.
"Why, of course, I can help" the Doctor replies as he takes out his pad, writes a prescription, tosses it down to the man and goes along his way.
An hour or two later a Priest passes by.
"Hey Father, I'm down in this hole, can you help me out?" pleads the man.
"Why yes my son, I can help you." the Priest replys. and he writes down a prayer, and drops it into the hole to the man.
A while later the man in the hole sees his friend pass by and calls out to him, "Hey buddy, I'm down in this hole, can you help me out?"
The friend immediatly jumps down into the hole.
The man screams to his friend, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING? NOW WE'RE BOTH DOWN HERE."
"I know" the friend replies, "but Iv'e been down here before and I know the way out."

The world is a better place for having you in it Ron. Yaatahey

I'll just add my $.02, that is one righteous painting. One has to be very highly thought of to recieve such a gift. Look at it as a mirror, a reflection of a life well lived. Blessed be.
