    Sorry it took so long

    Alan,

    I promissed some pics of ny xkilt a while back. Finally got around to taking some. Heres the link to the pics:

    For the record, it is a kilt square. Rockers (drywall installers) just think it was made for them. :rolleyes:

    Alan with all the kilt wearing events the gf has been to now she wants to make one for herself. Any changes or advice for her?

    Well I have used your directions for modifying a coat, and had a piece of denim laying around for quite some time. I really want a sabres kilt in thier new colors, so I decided to test out the denim and see if I could make an x-kilt out of it before I spent the money on duck cloth. The denim is only three yards so there will have to be a join in the fabric near the under apron, but I can deal with that. I marked everything tonight and read the instructions like 12 times, so that I can start sewing tomorrow, I am hoping to finish it in a week or so. I have done quite a bit of hand and machine sewing in my time so that shouldn't be a problem, it is going to be the straight lines that I always have trouble with. I will post pictures when done.
