kilted Halloween Costume
Yes, I know that the kilt is not "a costume", but I'm STILL gonna greet our local trick-or-treaters in blue Jacobite bonnet, faux Great Kilt and shirt, toting my targe and brandishing my claymore.

I'm of the agreement that a kilt is NOT a costume. But, I dunno, I think the Great Kilt falls more in that category... especially when paired with the Claymore.

Alan,
I think I must be reading Matt Newsome's blog to much.
I have no desire to wear a kilt for Halloween. I like kilts, they are who I am rather than who I'd like to be.
Methinks you might see a Highwayman come Beer Night!

I don't know, kilts are not costumes, but costumes CAN include kilts. And anything done to promote the popularity of kilts is a good thing.

my 2 cents
This Saturday evening we are going to a party & I am going in full regalia. Yes I know it is clothing and not a costume. But as KiltedCodeWarrior aluded to, if it promotes the kilt it is a positive thing. Besides I did not buy this stuff to reserve for ren-fairs.

Whatever you do, enjoy yourself! (It sounds like a recipe for fun.)
I wear my kilt almost daily anymore, so for a changeup I'm going to be a western gunfighter.

No kilt for me this Halloween. I'm going "Old West" this year, but not your typical cowboy costume. I'm gonna be a city slicker; I got my derby and everything.
