Plus, it give me the opportunity to happily expound on the myth vs. reality to any who may be curious (or within ear shot).

I agree with you Jake, and I too am going for the "Braveheart" look at a party this weekend. My neighbor joked about me wearing a kilt to the party, and before I knew it, her and my wife had come up with this whole braveheart idea with the blue face paint and all. It didn't matter to them when I tried to explain the historical inaccuracies..... we do have hollywood to blame for that! But in all honesty, most people won't know or care.
