I wanted to pass along a little experiment recently executed and with great success.

Somehow my wool balmoral had shrunk a bit over the years (now that it was good and broken-in) to where it left a pretty dent in my shiney forehead everytime I wore it. I must thank MAC Newsome for suggesting this solution:

Put your bonnet under the cold tap and soak it well; roll out as much excess water from the wool using a towel as you might do when hand washing your wool hose, and so as not to "wring" the fabric; plunk that baby on your heid and wear for 2-3 hours; if possible leave on a similar sized mold overnight until dry (I used a plastic hat washer frame- $10 from the Dollar General).

This worked like a charm for me and I am now always looking for a chance to wear my "new" bonnet! Would love to hear any other success stories or otherwise with similar experiments...

Yall holler at me!

Cheers,
Wesley
