    Flashes and a half

Anyone ever seen flashes like this?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Kilt-Hose-Flashe...QQcmdZViewItem

"These are fantastic hose flashes. Wear the look of the Highlanders of old with these custom made ribbon hose flashes.

If you had to compromise a bit and forgo those high dollar diced hose these make a terrific alternative and make the plainest of kilt hose look quite dapper!

You'll have the lassies fainting dead away at your mear approach! Absolutely dashing!

The rosettes are three inches in diameter and the length is eleven inches from top to bottom. The top has an elastic band with a velcro fastener that fits under the roll over of your hose tops.

These are custom made and can be produced in a color to suit. Even a few tartan ribbons!"

On what ocassions would one wear them?

I don't know when they'd be worn... they seem a tad long to me.

Win, place, or show at the racetrack, I think.

These belong in the realm of Fancy Dress! I agree with Rex - if I were to wear them, I'd feel (and look) like a prize-winning steer at a County Show!

I could see wearing them for a period costume at a fancy dress ball...but short of that I'll pass. They might be popular in the village in New York though.
