Michael, the only change I'd make for a woman is to tell her to reverse the direction of the thing so that it opens on the other side. That, and to realize that the tapers on the pleats are going to be a LOT, because of her structure versus ours.
On a womans X-Skirt I'd leave off the cargo pockets, and adjust the length to suit her preferences. Set her up with a nice belt and belt bag or hip purse and she's stylin'.
