And welcome from a native South Carolinian (now in Virginia). You are indeed in good kilting territory. We have members in Clinton, Boiling Springs, Greenville, Asheville, NC and don't forget Matt Newsome and the Scottish Tartans Museum in Franklin, NC.
Pull up a keyboard and stay a while.

Welcome from Ontario, Canada...
If you've got questions about kilts, I'd bet that we've got people here on the board that have it, have done it, know how to do it, know where to get it, know how to wear it, make it, fix it, clean it, etc. etc.
I hope you find your time here fun and informative.

Hello from Memphis, Tennessee, home of blues. Making your own sounds very rewarding. I'd never try it myself because I am worthless with needle & thread. As Tattoobradly said, we have a section of this forum just for kilt makers. If you want to "kick-start" your kilted experence check out our site sponsers. they have ready-mades at very good prices. I own 2 from Sport Kilt myself. You will also see USA Kilts, Freedom Kilts and others. Good folks all.
