    History Channel

There was a Halloween special about vampires today on the History Channel. One of the segments was about James Spalding, a man from Dalkeith who died in the 1630's and apparently rose from the dead.

The legend was pretty amazing and the costumes that the reinactors wore were right on the money! Perfect for the time period and social class.

I've never been dissapointed with the History Channel. They really know their stuff.

The people who make the documentaries for the History Channel tend to do their homework by working with the experts, and often having skilled reenactors replay the historical moment being talked about.

I watch the History Channel quite often, and notice that they do a lot of reruns.....I only wish they would re play the stuff I haven't seen a million times!
Whatever happened to that documentary about Culloden, and the one about Rob Roy? Haven't seen them in years!

I do wish the History Channel would stop with the Hitler marathons, but otherwise I watch it quite a bit.

I've seen some really good things on the History Channel, and then some really, really BAD things as well, so I can't totally endorse it as a history teacher. It really depends on the individual program, as well as the individual reenactors.

I would rather watch the history channel or other such channel than most sports.
