Hi all,

Thought I should clarify the XMarks pin problems and runs. I believe that there have been 3 runs. The first 2 runs were done by Hank (I believe) and used 2 different fastener systems. The very first run used a smaller version of a diaper pin (such as those found on some kilts), while the second (and third) used 2 posts with pin tacks. The very first run had some issues with how the pin was actually attached to the XMarks medallion. The second run seems to have been fault free, but I can't be sure. The third run, which I coordinated, did have an issue with Quality Control at the manufacturer. Some pins were delivered to me with broken posts, and those I had replaced. Others were broken in transit to the buyer and I think that all of those have been corrected.

Steve was good enough to provide me with some feedback on the shortcomings of the third run pins, and I will provide that feedback to the maker for the next run. The pin manufacturer has been the same for all 3 runs.

On a related note, is there interest in another run of pins? If we moved quickly, we might be able to have them available for Xmas (but that might be tight).
