Aye, considered that....but not in this situation. Maybe I'm just trusting my instincts as a marriage and family therapist....he, moving out, is a deep cover cop and will no doubt have his cop buddies with him - very tight loyalty.
My kid is bound to say something....no way she'd go off somewhere and not "supervise" his move out. Plus, she said she's having a washer and dryer delivered some time that day.
Think it'd be worse for the kids to be off somewhere and come home to dad's stuff being gone than it would to go through the pain of seeing him move and having the parents there to talk to them - they're 10 and 7.
Just think having me there would be out of place....and, I sure don't need to drive all that way just to be immersed in that crazy energy.
Another time for sure.
