A hearty welcome from a neighbor just to your north across the state line.
Good to have you on the forum.
What are the next highland games you to plan to attend??

A good place to get RELATIVELY cheap wool to make an "initial" kilt is 96 District Storehouse in downtown Abbeville, SC. They have had some "fuzzy" wool in Black Watch (which is what I used for my first kilt).

Mary Jo's in Gastonia may have some too. As I only live a few miles, maybe we could go up sometime to see if there is anything usable.
I'd HIGHLY advise Barb's book "The Art of Kiltmaking" for instructions. It is VASTLY superior to ANYTHING on-line (sorry Alan-> yours IS the best on-line I've EVER seen).

If interesting in Box pleats, contact me by PM (then phone-> FREE from Laurens to Clinton) or Matt at the Tartan Museum.

Welcome from up the road a piece in Asheville, NC.
I'll be there this Saturday. Why don't we all plan to meet somewhere so we can take the requisite photos? How about the Wallace tent at high noon, KML?

Over in the Games forum we've been invited to the Clan MacBubba tent at 1:30. I was also reminded that my son's band is playing at 11:30, so 12 might be tight anyway.
