Maple Leaf tartan on ebay

I was expecting something mostly blue with some white in it (and possibly some black).

For those that don't know about this tartan, it is a Canadian tartan. The colours of the maple leaf through the changing seasons became the basis for the tartan designed by David Weiser in 1964. Known officially as the Maple leaf tartan, the pattern incorporates the green of the leaves' summer foliage, the gold which appears in early autumn, the red which appears with the coming of the first frost, and the brown tones of the fallen leaves.

It is a gorgeous tartan though. I think it was Rufus that had one of these that Bear had made. Very Nice.

The Maple Leaf is also a Canadian military tartan:

"The Maple Leaf Tartan has been approved for issue by National Defence Headquarters for Canadian Forces pipers and drummers not having a specific regimental affiliation."

It is a gorgeous tartan though. I think it was Rufus that had one of these that Bear had made. Very Nice.

Rufus bought one from Brunnet and Struth's clearance list a few years ago. I only remember because he and I were the same size and I was about to buy it when he voiced it first Bear made Maple Leaf tartan kilts, but that is an 8 oz pv and pretty thin (I have some at home).

I wonder if he wants to sell it now......I'll have to bug him again

Off Topic, the rest of Canada tries not to speak of the Leafs, so we pretend they don't exist Go Senators!!! My response was a bit tongue n' cheek.
