Well shucks, I suppose I best have another too. Put me down for one, Rob. I'd be interested in another finish as well.

I'm interested in one. Possibly 2 if other finishes are available.

I may have to re-evaluate the shipping as the overseas shipping costs were higher than I anticipated, but we'll work on that later. Once I have confirmed a price, I will post back and ask people to send me an email directly with their email address, Xmarks user name, and number of pins that they would like. I will then invoice through Paypal and once I have enough paid for to complete the order, I will place it.
I will also check on alternate colors/finishes.
For reference, here is a pic of the back of the pins using the new style of closure.

That sounds good to me, Rob, and those 'tie-pin' fixing devices appear to be just right for the purpose. I look forward to hearing further details regarding the ordering.
For Scoutniagra:
The closures you describe, which are pretty much standard on kilt pins, were not the type used on the first batch of X Marks pins. They were more in the style of a safety pin, but not as secure!

I guess I'll jump on this as long as they are in the $30ish range. I would like the chrome more than any other color though. Can anybody point me to a good close up picture of the front of them, even though I'm still getting one

Rab, they are way too big for a sgian dubh. About 1 3/4" (44mm) for the last run. Ad the first run was a bit larger, about 2" (50mm). If you are interested, I will inquire with the maker if they could make one sized for an sgian dubh. PM me if you would like me to follow up.
