My point was that there is (at least some) evidence that there are more potential sales for an Army tartan, based on what has been posted here about military experience (and face it including Reserves and NG, there are almost 10 times the number of soldiers to Marines). May not be true as most marines have the "I'm a Marine for live" attitude, and most soldiers will say, "Yeah I was in the Army."
What would be really great is if there was some way, maybe a forum of some kind, where people could discuss tartans and kilts and the like. That way companies like SWK USAK and the like could put out different tartans without just randomly guessing. (I do applaud SWK for trying to put out tartans that the other made to wear kilt companies dont have - Safron, Lamont, now USMC)
(Not wanting to hijack the thread, but what ever happened to the pajama kilt?

I'm sure Xmarks members aren't Jerry's only source of business though. From the sounds of it, he chose the Leatherneck tartan due to requests and research. It may be that several hundreds of people who don't post on Xmarks emailed him to ask about the leatherneck, whereas only 10's of people emailed about the army tartan.
I presume from Jerry's data, the Leatherneck was the best move for him right now.
