Today was bright but cold down here on the South coast of England, and having work to do outside on the aviary to get it spruced up for the Winter, I put on trousers and fleece - the wind fairly whistles down between the houses when it is North to South.
Having been wearing a jersey and cosy kilt of 8 yards of peached black cotton and a liner for a few days, my choice of clothing was obviously not adequate and I am now suffering with a chill on my back - my skin is still cold and I have been indoors for 6 hours, plus my hips have seized up.
Although it is midnight I think a hot bath and a huddle in a great kilt with some malted milk is in order - sigh - life does get rather slow these days.
