Whew!... does that ever look sharp!
My wife would like me to get the navy blue PC.... my only concern for myself is that my "clan" kilt has a predominantly green undercheck and might not go so well together with the blue.
I'm still undecided.

David D,
Your blue PC is very nice, but is it actually Navy blue?
I thought Navy blue was much darker. I guess the difference could be caused by my computer monitor.

If all things are equal go for the blue. I would, but I like to wear color any time I can. It is possible the black is made with a better material or the construction might be better. Check it out you usually get what you pay for.

Lovat blue?
Navy is navy. I agree, that your PC doesn't look like navy, but it's still a nice blue. There's Lovat blue and green but that's usually reserved for day wear.

I've just got myself a navy blue P.C. which goes really well with my MacDonald of The Isles (modern) kilt which has broad navy stripes on green and my Home (modern) which is dark blue. The jacket does look lighter blue in daylight, but in the evening in subdued lighting you can hardly distinguish it from black. I read in a kiltmakers bumph once that they recomended black jackets with ancient coloured tartans and coloured jackets with modern coloured tartans. Seems to make a lot of sense.
