I really admire how you were able to put him in his place so quickly and without being vulgar about it; Quick witted and to the point. Usually in those types of situations I just turn red and am too busy keeping myself from slapping them down or some such thing to pull that together. Maybe I'll get there one day. I'm sure he had something to say about the situation much later when he regained his wits....but I do have to admit, his face was indeed priceless....

I'd agree. In my case, it's only very slightly off color. As in just enough off-color to not allow my kids to say it, but not care at all if they hear it.

Nah it was great. There's always a way to do it with grace and aplomb. And then there's your way which it's just as effective. Some people don't think that we'll say anything back to them,.....but they're wrong.
