I too support this, and would gladly sign it if we neighbors to the south were allowed.

Thanks folks, it is fitting that you all sign. Just as portrayed in "Legends of the Fall" many Americans crossed the border to join and fight for Canada. Many Canadians who served listed their land of birth as the United Kingdom. I believe it is only fitting that all who served should be honoured. So sign away.

I've signed and e-mailed the link to several offices to spread the word.

    THanks for the link.

    Signed with pleasure.

I have been greatly disappointed at the way Rememberance Day has been conducted so far this year. I have heard more people concerned with getting a long weekend (the day is the 11th and shouldn't be carried over in my opinion), thieves are stealing poppy collection boxes, and a lot of people are more concerned with getting a jump at the malls that day. We need to remember what these young men did for our country and our allies.

Both my Grandfathers were in the Canadian forces (one didn't see any action in the army, and the other served in Korea with the Navy). I always remember going to the Rememberance Day services (rain, shine, snow, or hail) with one of my Grandfathers. I have tried to instill this in my own children.

I'm the same way, Colin. My dad always took us to the service as kids, and I did the same with mine. I knew that I had done something right when the first year my eldest son was living on his own, he turned up at the service all on his own. He still meets me there most years.
