I have hunted in the deli at the local market while kilted. Does that count? I am too squeamish to hunt. I leave that to those that can and apprediate those who can and do.

Not yet. But, I do plan to hunt for quail here in a couple weeks whilst wearing my "bark and leaf" O'Neille kilt.

I shoot clay kilted, have trained dogs kilted, but the thought of blood on a kilt keeps them out of the field during the season.
If I ever get to Scotland for stalkng or shoting, I will go kilted. Other than that, I am afraid the kilt is just comfortable after hunt attire.

I'm not talking about one of my good, tailored kilts, but my plaid - which is meant for rough, outdoor use anyways. A little more mud and blood will just add to its character...!

I fish the same way
I love doing all things outdoors. Hunting is not a favorite of mine. Stalking for the experience of it is fun, however. But killing it is for someone else. I love eating properly hunted food!!
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

Great Kilt Hunting
I'm planning on it. I went hunting in a kilt last year, the 13oz was a little light so this year I'm upgrading to a heavier weight.
I feel the same way about stand huntin'. I dont like heights. So I do the same thing and find a nice spot on the ground, next to a BIG tree for protection and wrap up like a burrito. I stay cozy and warm in my wool while waiting for the venison steaks to walk by.
