I'm a "happy dualist". I like my traditionals and my moderns equally.
Hmmmmm...does that make me "Bi"??

I'm your firm modernist, cant stand any thing above my hips. I dont care what the material is wool, leather, cotton, silk , just stay off my belly!! I am however looking for the "perfect kilt " always. If it fits me the way i like it too, and it is traditional, I might have to change my vote. until then modern!

I've got both in my closet. Mainly tartans, but some casual and some traditional. My newest kilt is a lovely O'Neille cord kilt that has pockets(distinctly non-traditional), and it's right up at the top of my favourites list, along with my BC tartan wool that Rocky whipped up.
My next two will be an XMarks dress model in the Macbitseach tartan that Steve says he'll have to me in time for my staff Christmas party. The one after that will hopefully be a Rocker/Indie/Butt Crack model from Mr. Ashton as well.
I'm with Ron on this. Why would I want to limit myself?

Dualist. When I started wearing kilts I was a firm modernist, but then I got my first (and sofar only) tartan, and I liked it . Now I'm fighting myself about what kilt to get next, a modern one like a UK or FreedomKilt, or something in a Tartan, arggggg! I'm so confuesed  . Now only if I had the money, I'd get both .

I only currently have the one non-trad which is the leather one.
But I certainly have my eye on a couple of modern ones!

A lot of it depends on what I am going to be doing whether I am modern or traditional.

I prefer "bluff old traditionalist" to "firm" myself -- and while I am a "bluff old traditionalist", I do not impose that on others -- so I'm a bit of both of the first two.

I have a total of ...3....
2 Stillwater standards and a duck canvas handmade in khaki.
But the handmade one is a trad cut/fit.
I'm working on another semi-trad in camo twill with reverse Kinguisse(?) pleats. I have to get going on it again now that I have the Rex sewing machine.
