    The Last King of Scotland

Went to the UK premiere in Inverness on Thursday. Disappointing from the kilt point of view - just one shot of Amin seated in Black Watch uniform, and during closing credits some footage of an African marching band in apredominantly red tartan. Apart from that (Mrs Lincoln) film worth seeing. Forest Whitaker as Amin better than James McAvoy as his doctor.

    Thanx for the review.

Methinks I best wait for the DVD release.

Whoa, isn't Forest Whitaker the guy who played the internal affairs detective on The Shield tv series? Gotta be a great movie if he's in it, what a great actor.

Doubt anyone would dare smirk at him kilted.

    Was he there in Inverness?

I'll definately look forward to seeing the film. When I think of Forest Whitaker, I always remember him in Platoon.

I first saw him in The Crying Game, and had no idea that he wasn't really British. He's quite a fine actor.
