Interesting tale. To need to go to all this trouble to open your gate surprises me - do you live in South Africa?

    Tattoobradley:

Always best to plan an attack while nibbling on a little something---if I'd been hung up on the (decorative) spikes, it might have been a while before I fed again.

    Panache:

"Undaunted by Common Sense" is not an admission, it's darn near my battle cry! I also love the del Sol--it's got about 120k miles on it, the only money I've spent was on the timing belt and new hoses (and belts) at about 75k, it still gets about 30 mpg whether in town or on the highway, a/c or no, roof on or off. It's LOW, though, and that means that, kilted, it's best to ride with the roof off.

    Cessna152towser:

Not in South Africa! The gate is not so much to repel the slavering hordes of trouser-wearers at bay as to keep the dogs and children in. The family down at the end of the cul-de-sac has a boxer that wanders sometimes.
