Great Kilt Hunting
I'm planning on it. I went hunting in a kilt last year, the 13oz was a little light so this year I'm upgrading to a heavier weight.
I feel the same way about stand huntin'. I dont like heights. So I do the same thing and find a nice spot on the ground, next to a BIG tree for protection and wrap up like a burrito. I stay cozy and warm in my wool while waiting for the venison steaks to walk by.

I do my hunting with a digital SLR and 70-300mm lens. Used to hunt for meat but gave that up years ago when I found out that I just wasn't that good of a shot. Now fishing is another story.

My plaid is too lightweight as well, a concern I have about using it this weekend. I've been eyeing these 16 oz. ones for months. Now I wish I'd bought one:

I was eyeing them up to, always liked this one I believe its a 19oz . I think though that if you want to keep warm in the winter with a plaid of 13oz you need a long enough length to fold it in half and then pleat it, like say 6 yards halfed to 3.
I decided to go the other direction and order some of the heavy 30oz plaid and see if it'll work. Its gonna be heavy but I'm gonna be warm darn it!!!
Oh, and good luck on Saturday Brian, PA deer season doesn't start till the 27th.
