What is the intended difference between the subject matter in the DIY forum and the kiltmakers' forum?
Good question, and one I asked myself.
My first thought was to simply re-name the Kiltmaker's section, but if you read the first post in that section, WHO SHOULD POST HERE, you'll see that section was not intended for the DIY'ers. It is meant for people to ask questions of the kiltmakers. And your first thought will be that the kiltmakers have their own sections, right below the Kiltmaker's Forum, but those sections are established for X Marks advertisers.
In the For DIY'ers, the true home-brew projects can all be grouped together and showcased in one place, rather than some threads in General Kilt Talk and some threads in Off Topic, with others in the Kiltmaker's Forum.
Since I am not endowed with the fine art of manipulating a sewing machine, I will read with interest but not have much for input. The only thing I have brewing is the occasional couple gallons of beer. I brew my own instead of drinking the commercially available stuff.
Now, when it comes to twirling wrenches, I can give you some input. I maintain my own vehicles and restored a 105 year old Oldsmobile from the ground up. No greater fun than taking the old Olds, Model A Ford or the MG TD out for a spin.
