The white on the tartan really stands out, but it is a very nice kilt. I'm sure if you wore more white (ie, hose, shirt...) that the other colours of the kilt should stand out.

oh that is a very handsom tartan! I don't think there is too much white at all.
What about wearing it with a black shirt and hose?
So the only white you are wearing is only what's in the tartan?? Just a thought.

I prefer the dark blues w/ my Clarke

Black and lots of ladies in black works too.

Your eyes do not deceive. It is a Clan Cian Tartan.

That's the clan my family comes from... I hope to have a kilt in that eventually myself, but it's hard to find and pricey...

It's really NOT hard to find if you know where to look! We can readily get it in 11 oz. I personally think that's 11 oz is a bit light for a Traditional kilt, but since it's the only weight that Cian is READILY available in, it's pretty much your only option (unless you REALLY want to spend some $$$ and have it woven in a single kilting length for 1 kilt).

    Thumbs up

    Hi Graham1

The 23rd of January will mark the 25th anniversary of my ordination and a friend of mine is making a kilt in the Clergy Ancient Tartan to mark the occasion. I recently saw the tartan at a Kirkin 'O the Tartan worn by the Pastor of the church where it was held and it was quite a striking tartan but the Ancient apprears to have less white than the Clergy you are wearing.

The kilt you have is a wonderful looking Tartan! I would have to agree with others here and suggest a lighter color kilt hose and shirt would tend to mute the white in the kilt but that is only my opinion and heaven only knows I barely can make things come together for myself!

Congratulations on the new kilt wear it always in good health and Grace.

    Bill

Nice to see the Welsh flag on the T shirt too! That's a very impressive building in the background!
