Thanks for all the wonderfull responses. I know I will only be able to afford 1 leather and I will have to save for that. I wish there was a place where we could see and feel the differences before we buy.

    Hi Mark

If you are a standard size guy, and you order from our stock holding with waistband from 30 to 40 waist and a length of 23 inch in Black, if you are not entirely happy with our kilt we will refund your money no problems once we have received the Kilt., all it will cost you is the postage back.

    Hi Mark,
The best I can do is send you swatches. My kilts are custom order. This gets you a kilt fitted to you much like a traditional hand sewn kilt.
Keep doing the research. Not all leather kilts are the same. Find out the weight of the leather used, the type. Where is it made? Does the leather stretch? What about the tanning of the leather? How will it stand up to stains and abuse? Does it have a full under apron and over apron? It is it adjustable? How does it fasten velcro or leather straps. What is the quality of those straps? What kind of hardware is used. How much leather is actually used to make up that kilt.
It won't take you long to find that information. Once you are satisfied with the answers you will be happy and can proceed to get a quality leather kilt that will look great for a long time.
    Cheers

    Hi Guys

coming soon a traditional style pleated heavy leather kilt, without the cargo pockets, but with front trouser style pockets, and the same waistband as the heavy.

    Keep watching.

For buttery soft leather and fine custom craftmanship Robert at R-kilts is the tops. The quality of the leather and the heavy duty construction makes this a one time purchase. You couldn't destroy a leather R-kilt if you tried.

If it helps anyone there are pics of RKilts leather and UK leather kilts in my gallery. Both are top quality and solid value for the price. You can't go wrong with either.
