Cheers
I wouldn't dare take anything from Ozmeath's abilities, but I hope to eventually be in just the situation you describe. Well... except for whatever kilt hose and brogues I might be wearing at the time.
Ozmeath,
I think the file lines add a certain character to the blade. Well done.
Now... how much would shipping some of those antlers from Down Under to the far east of America set a bloke back?

Oh cheers Jim, that'd be a great situation to be in wouldn't it? I just wish I wasn't so busy (or easily distracted) and I'd further down the track! Trying to get my girlfriend into hose making though, she's only just progressed from scarves though so it may be a bit of a wait.
The antlers I think i mentioned I get for $5AUS ea, I'll ask at the post office next time I'm down there- wont tell em it's antlers tho! But was thinking there's gotta be a hell of alot more deer in your fine country than Australia. All I did was look up deer farms in the phone book. Well maybe check it out Jim for your sake as it's gotta be cheaper. If you're still in strife and your fellow contryman here can't help I send some over.
Erin.

They do say that good things come to those who wait. *shrugs*

Actually... I've not searched as yet for a source of antlers here, aside from hunting down the deer myself. Of course, I'd then have some deer hide for a sporran, some venison for my belly, and the antlers. Alas, I haven't the time to put the 85pound draw compound bow in the shed to good use.
Also, I mainly asked in hopes of getting something from a species that may not be found in my neck of the woods. The only antlered critters near me are white tail dear and moose!
