Great shots Derek. Here in the land that invented skiing we haven't had much snow at all.
The local town freezes a part of the market place so my kids skate there quite a bit.
It looked like an old fashioned market fair. wonderful

I remember going to the Civic Centre last year in December during the day.
When they skim the ice rink and dump the skimmings you could be forgiven for thinking it had snowed in the area where they put them!

Excellent pics, Derek. Did you really make it to your business meeting or is that your cutout in the final photo? Last year I took Ann to Cardiff for our Christmas shopping first weekend in December and we stayed from the Friday to the Monday at the Cardiff Hilton, which is just across from the funfair and ice arena.

Derek,
I love your business meetings, I may just have to come and join you for one.

Good piccies Derek, and you all look really cold. It has been so mild here this past week, I have been able to turn off the heating most days! Two of London's Christmas ice rinks have had to be closed as the mild weather was too much for the under-ice freezing systems! Unfortunately, we do not have such exciting things going on in this part of the world, so I am rather envious!

Edinburgh usually has a rink in the Princes Street Gardens, not my cup of tea though, way too much chance of me splitting my head open on the ice.
Looks like you had a good day Derek.
