    First night out

    Hello everyone,

I've been enjoying reading all of the posts here for a couple of months, and recieved a kilt (SWK ecomony solid black), for a birthday present from my wife to be. I have always wanted a kilt since the first time that I saw a piper when I was young. So after wearing my new kilt around the house and practicing sitting down without flashing the entire room, I decided to wear it out.

My fiance` and I went out with a friend from my work to go bowling, so I put the kilt on and headed out. The entire time bowling I didn't get any comments, but there was a middle aged woman with her young daughter in the lane next to us, and the mother kept eyeing me. When we finished and took the shoes back to the register, I found out that someone at the bar told the counter worker that they saw me. No negative comments, and the guy at the counter said that it takes a real man to wear a kilt. So all in all it was a very good and positive night.

Hopefully this will be the first of many great nights, and the first of many kilts.

    Welcome aboard,

See how easy? See how fun?

Never thought of bowling as another place where kilts offer FREEDOM.

You're gonna need more kilts though....

Welcome! There is nothing like a kilt, once you put it on. My first reaction upon donning the kilt was, "wow, I can't believe I've worn trousers all these years!"

Sounds like the fiancée is a keeper.
    Congratulations on both counts!

Welcome! I'd say that bowling on the first night out is pretty brave...those floors can be slippery.

And I was feared that I may fall, for I had nae on mah troosers!

    Glad to see you here!

Just hearing stories of the first Kilt wearing is such a great reminder of why Kilt wearing is so enjoyable.

I've worn a kilt lots of places, but never bowling. Of course I haven't laid hands on a bowling ball for over 15 years so I guess that explains why. Sounds like fun though.
