Thanks all for the great comments. I wish I could get a better shot of the pleats. I pressed the he!! out of them (maybe even too much) and they are quite crisp.
This is not to be taken as a citicism but I see something with your kilt that I see frequently with others, yet I have never before questioned it. The tartan pattern of the fringed edge of the apron does not line up with that of the pleated section which it meets. I assume this could be corrected by moving the buckle and strap slightly, but I am not sure.
Hadn't noticed that till you pointed it out. It could be that the under apron was riding a little higher than the front (shirt covered that up) and just needed to be pulled down to match. Not sure though.
The finger tips sure are sore (never ended up getting a thimble ), but I'm chomping at the bit to get the next one started. Pleating to the sett is a little different then the stripe.
Sensational KT! I aspire to such a feat with my first kilt. This is yet to be seen :rolleyes: and you've raised the bar somewhat, well done.
