Being yet another newbie, I'm hopin' for anything kilt-related, including shoes or shirts to wear with. I'd especially love another kilt for my birthday &/or Christmas, but this being my first Christmas with my wife and stepson, I've no idea what to expect - as a bachelor, Christmas meant hangin' 'round the house, watchin' movies and drinkin' good beer with other single guys not wantin' to go to orphan parties - and my wife is quite the opposite. I'm a little nervous. We'll see...

I'm holding out for a P.C. Just holding out, not holding my breath. We'll see what happens in London.

Hehe. Being I'm relatively new to being kilted, I would like a nice wool kilt. Some ghillie brogue shoes (For some reason that doesn't seem to be spelled right...) would be nice as well. If only I could find them in Size 15...

I don't ask for gifts for myself. I make baked goods for my friends and family as presents. I also have a hardfast rule to make sure my kids appreciate what they get for Christmas, Whatever I spend on them, we spend the same amount on a charity and/or family in need.
Guid on ya. My father in law always asks for donations to be made to Heifer Project in his name and we always do it. The rest of his list is always little stuff...socks, candy, a paperback book. I honestly think he gets as much pleasure out of the donation as he does out of the other stuff.

However, with luck there will be 2.3 yards of 16-ounce California Tartan under the tree (likely ordered from Rocky @ USAK) and in the spring I'll have the fun of making a box-pleated kilt out of it.
