    Joy to the World

I Had the realization last night that kilt wearing is A way of spreading Joy.
As I was in Harvard SQ. Cambridge. I spent the evening strolling through the Sq. and its surrounding streets, shopping for christmas, and meeting freinds for a brew or two. Each time i would enter an establishment or pass a crowd on the street there was always some sort of reaction. The looks on the people faces always plesant. Women would wisper , One guy high fived me on the street and said " Dude Awesome, I have a kilt too. I answered "you should Wear it more"
Do you ever wonder how many times people get just a little joy when they see one of us in a kilt? I probably passed 300 or more people on the street in 2 hours of walking around the SQ. At least 100 of them gave some sort of reaction to the kilt. A smile, a wisper etc. I wonder how many had a conversation about the kilt to their companions after i passed by.
I wonder how many people told the story of the guy in the kilt they saw and made someone else smile.
A very beautiful woman approached me in a bar and said "I love your likt How do me and My girlfriends get to see more men in kilts?
I replied "Look for Boston kilt nights at Xmarks and show up!"
In my own little way I was spreading joy! Felt great. Just think about it!

SO "SPREAD THE JOY OF THE KILT!" Happy Christmas!
How have you brought joy to someone by wearing a kilt?

That's probably the fastest way to get a guy to wear a kilt. Let him see the ladies appreciating someone else in a kilt.

Richland, you are an excellent ambassador for the kilt.

Good thoughts and all very true, everything good and nothing bad comes from wearing a kilt.
I will certainly be kilted this Christmas, and hopefully - spreading joy!

It's true. There are very few things that can make people smile and feel good these days. I find that when I wear my kilt not only do I feel better, but others around me seem to feel better too. Perhaps it's because we show a little individuality? Perhaps it's because we show the world we possess common sense in our choice of dress? Perhaps it's because we know how to dress (and act) like proper gentlemen?

My wife and I were shopping at the local Costco store this morning. I was wearing my SWK Hunting Mcleod. An elderly lady approached me while we were in the checkout line, winked, and said "LOVE your legs!" Does that qualify as "spreading some joy"? I think so!

Great story. I think the kilt will be gaining popularity in the clothing world over the next few years; there seems to be a growing number of blokes wearing them regularly, if not daily.

Yes, kilting spreads joy, and the message of freedom.

Oh, I should add that a young lass walking past me earlier today smiled broadly and made a small sound in her throat . . . I think that's a positive, joy filled reaction
