With all the high winds these past few days I'd not been out and about kilted since last Wednesday, and suffering withdrawal symptoms. Yet another wild day today when I had to go to the bank, post office, garage, supermarket etc. and being thoroughly fed up of almost a week of trouser tyranny I went out in a cheap lightweight polycotton kilt, teamed with rugby socks and boots. Because I have pinned the two aprons together on such a light kilt (would NEVER do this with a proper kilt) and because of its extra length, to bottom of knee, it preserved my modesty perfectly. I received absolutely no comments or stares.
