    Justification...

It is my intent to purchase a better quality fur sporran later, if I don't get around to making one first. The reason for my present thrift:

    1 wife + 5 kids + 1 ex = cheap sporran

(not to mention the llamas, goats, chickens, ducks, and guinea hen!)

    Nuf said?

I appreciate all the input, and I will set about sorting through it right now... I plan on ordering today if I can!

    Thanks Again!
    Cheers!

Yeah the economy is the one I got.

I should see it any day now so if it shows up I'll let you know how it looks.

The economy one from Stillwater, or an equivalent on Ebay, will serve you just fine at much less cost than a Buzz Kidder. I've got the single braid one and I love it.

Be careful with the cheap ones mentioned here if you have large hands. I bought the $15 one on the Stillwater site at the same time I purchased the other one. I can't get my bleeping hand into it. So, consequently, I don't use it.

That's a good warning, but it has nothing to do with price. Any sporran could have an opening that is too small for you guys with big mitts.

As Riverkilt often notes, sporran manufacturers and sellers seldom advise us of the dimensions of the damned things.

This is one reason I suggested the Stillwater Nightstalker. The guys that have them are very happy with the size and compartmentalization. Given the price it's a bargain and will likely be used for a long time.

That is the exact same reason I recommended it. It is easy to get into and if you simply look at the video on the site, you get an idea of the size!

Take a look at www.scottishtartans.org both the Country Sporran and the Rob Roy Sporran shown on their website are a very good buy for the money, both are nice and soft and have plenty of hand room. Both are just under $60.00.
