I worked on a few shows for the History Channel... and from a behind the scenes perspective, let me tell you... they are as accurate as my eyewitness account of the signing of the Declaration of Independence!

It was more on the VARYING quality. Some are AMAZING. Other's (esp the UFO ones) are not as good. As there are more shows in the catalogue for daily programing, the bad ones are being weeded out or replaced.
Heck, I am WATCHING IT RIGHT NOW.
W/o History (and other "Smart TV" channels) and Speed, the TV is just a monitor for the DVD!
How can I get on the list to work with the History Channel? I'd LOVE that one.

Now that we're veering way off topic...
I was working in the art department of various productions in Chicago at the time, and just got called up from some producer/production coordinators I knew for History Channel gigs a couple of times...
As for the TV just being a monitor for DVD's... well, that's my favorite use!
