Man...that sucks. Do you want a hug? Damaged pipes hurt almost as much as a damaged body part (which, I guess also happened).

If you come to Beloit, you're welcome to play my pipes!

just a little updatemy hand is fine ....you cant even tell something happened
    ( I've always been a fast healer...dont ask me how I know this )

its back to a practice chanter for now ...which is ok as I could use the time to learn some new tunes.
i will be getting the new parts in the begining of Feb. rush order so I will have them for Estrella war, and St. Paddys day.

my wife isnt worried about spending the $$ on the parts cause I will make that back on St. Paddys day twofold more than likely ( last time St. Paddys was on a Sat. I made $650.00 ) and I plan on playing my heart out that night!

so all in all it aint so bad ......Monty Python said it best

    Scott,
You touched on this earlier (page 3 I believe), but since I assume you still have perfectly good stocks, blowpipe, chanter, bag etc. buying the drone segments from J.Dunbar makes a lot more sense.

Since it's Polypenco (Delrin), matching the color etc. isn't relevant, and the material is so stable that the bore dimensions etc. are usually nearly identical from set to set unlike African Blackwood.

I have a number of stands of pipes (GHB, Uilleann and others) and always use a clean cotton rag and some Hagerty's paste polish to polish the Silver and Nickel Silver mounts.

    I know, I know; Hindsight is 20/20.

I got a lot of that on BDF too( the "use paste not a buffer" line of thought )

the only problem was the fingerprints wouldnt come off! I'd let it SOAK in the stuff and it wouldnt come off!

also the jewler's rouge <sp> took care of small scratches and made them mirror finish! I mean I could count the hairs on my little boys arm in that finish !

    $89-----bass mid section
    $95-----1 tenor top section

your wife saying "its just like your cell phone .....you "dropped" it in a puddle now you need a new one and you want to upgrade......well you cant upgrade your pipes right now!! ".......priceless

and does she know me or what?!? ......ANY excuse to get something better!!! LOL
